How to Ping A Website via CMD.(How to find IP address of a website via CMD.)

 Now i will show you how to trace the ip address/server/detect the operating system!! ((PING)

Terminals and CMD .(command line promt) are used for PING
  Instructions to open CMD in Windows .

 Open cmd in windows by pressing start key + R ---> 

 Instructions to open Terminal in MAC

Open Terminal in MAC OS . Application folder>Utilities>Terminal   ---->

Once you open type the following.

ping <name of the site>         eg.   ping www.samsung.com

and press enter.

you will see something like this . whether its Mac,Linux,Windows. (except the background colour)

As you can see the pings in the above image and i the explanation for it is below .

118.214.135.43  <--- THis is the ip address of SAMSUNG.com

TTL=61 <--- The operating system detected is of LINUX.

The server (detected) which is linked to samsung.com is e1722.b.akamaiedge.net

some more information as follows.

if it was TTL=128 then it was a Windows xp operating system 

you can track the location of the ip address by going on any ip locating websites just search the following quote on any search engine "ip locator" (as i am not allowed to mention the url so i can't describe it)
